The Ninety-Nines
With Music, Lyrics and Book by Grady O’Connor and Amelia Warren (Amie Wren), ‘The Ninety-Nines’ follows two extraordinary women.
The first, Victoria Flores, is an aeronautical engineering scholar at MIT, who’s struggling to maintain her academic standing as an international student.
She discovers The Ninety-Nines, a real-life group of female pilots that was founded in 1929 by Amelia Earhart, our second heroine.
‘The Ninety-Nines’ follows Victoria and Amelia as they battle expectations, social boundaries and adversities to follow their dreams.
In terms of development, ‘The Ninety-Nines’ is very much in its genesis. A selected winner of Berklee College of Music’s “Curtain Up!” competition, a medley of songs were performed by student musicians and actors in May, 2026.
