Trojan Horse
‘Trojan Horse’ is an all-new-original-student-short-film-comedy-musical.
Hm, we need a better tag line. How about:
‘She’s the Man’ and ‘Bottoms’ meet ‘Dear Evan Hansen’ and ‘Heathers’ in this original comedy film musical.
Yeah, that’s better.
Anyway, written by Triniti Fong and Amelia Warren (Amie Wren), ‘Trojan Horse’ follows two girls, June and Syd, in their senior year of high school as they grapple with the all-too familiar tale of dealing with being a teenager by crossdressing and rushing a college frat. Okay, maybe not “all-too familiar”, but certainly not unheard of.
Just…just watch the trailer.

Triniti and Amie met in a joint Emerson College and Berklee College of Music class, called ‘Writing the Film Musical’.
Together, they wrote the first couple of acts of the film, Triniti writing the script and Amie writing the music and lyrics.
At the end of the semester, ‘Trojan Horse’ had a workshop performance of its first act.
-
Triniti and Amie decided to use ‘Trojan Horse’ for both of their thesis projects at Emerson and Berklee, and so took their 40 minute draft and adapted it into a short film, standing at roughly 15 minutes.
-
A lot of work went into repurposing the musical material and reworking the story, so it still made sense within the new time constraint.
Amie took five completed songs and repurposed two of them for the short film.
Triniti and Amie auditioned vocalists and actors remotely throughout June and July 2025, and, come September, they had a cast.
-
September - December, 2025:
Amie ran rehearsals with the vocalists, then held two vocal recording sessions in early October, tracking 16 vocalists.
Filming began in late October, and ran over two weekends and one day of reshoots, wrapping in December.
-
January - June, 2026:
Amie started working on the underscore for the rest of the short film, and orchestrations for the songs. She ran 10 instrumental recording sessions.
Musical recording finished in May, and editing, mixing and mastering was complete by the end of June.

Triniti and Amie are using ‘Trojan Horse’ as a proof of concept. They already have ideas and song seeds for the feature length film, and hope to progress further, given the opportunity.
